Mental Health Specialist, ASW
Placer County Office of Education

Hello Rhino Family! I am so excited to be joining the Raging Rhinos this year as we launch our first-ever Wellness Center at TBHS. Having grown and attended schools in the area, I am grateful and excited to have the opportunity to give back to the community I grew up in and love by serving the students and families of Twelve Bridges High School. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at the California State University of Sacramento with a specialization in School Social Work. I plan to use my expertise and years of experience in school social work to best serve and address the needs of our students. As a Mental Health Specialist, I aim to provide all students with a supportive and caring environment while providing them with the tools and resources they may need to help them navigate the challenges they may see during this season of life. During my downtime, I enjoy cooking, spending time with my family, and traveling.

Julia McCasland

Family & Youth Community Liaison

Hi, Mrs. Julia here! I’m beyond excited to be joining the Rhino team! Growing up in this area, it’s a dream come true to give back to the youth in my community. As a Social Work graduate from Chico State, I’ve spent the last 17 years advocating for foster youth. Now, as your Family and Youth Community Liaison, I’m here to bring that experience to TBHS, offering students the support and tools they may need for a successful high school journey. I can’t wait to get to know all of you through fun activities during lunch and the awesome groups we will be hosting in the Wellness Center throughout the year. When I am not on campus, you’ll find me reading, taking walks around my community, cheering on my kids at their sporting events and spending time with my family.
